Jos McKain (b. 1984) is a intersectional artist trained in cinema, dance and working predominately in the context of liminal performance based visual arts. He has been a primary collaborator on works that have been shown at MOMA PS1, MOCA Los Angeles, Hammer Museum, Leopold Museum, Centre Pompidou and FIAC. Trained as an actor dancer and filmmaker, he was located in Los Angeles for the past 13 years, immigrating to Berlin in 2017.
He makes performances and texts focusing on multi-modal meditative media based methodology to transplant media saturation through catharsis. Restructuring algorithms as physical methods to metabolize screens as a partitioned reality.
